Useful Blog posts: Week 4 and 5
May 26th, 2007 · Filed under ArchivesThese past 2 weeks I came across some nice articles. Some date back to last year, but the information is still valuable. I enjoyed reading them, so I’m suggesting them to you.
- Steve Pavlina: How to make money with your blog. This article is written a year ago, and is linked to numerous times, but it a good read for newbie bloggers to know what they need in order to make money online. This is a very long article, but it’s straightforward.
- Jon Lee writes 2 articles on SQL injections. The first explains the injections and the second provides tips on how to prevent injections.
- David Pitlyuk is working on a redesign of his blog and needs your opinion.
- Blogging Notes has an article about Monetizing with Amazon with examples of monetizing opportunities
- Nathan Metzger writes about getting your blog out of the Supplemental Index. While David Pitlyuk found an easy way to do this for Wordpress blogs, Nathan’s information is valuable to web designers who plan to have a lot of content on their sites.
Some off topic posts, but still nice reads:
- Exploring Suriname is my growing blog with information of the different nice spots in Suriname. One interesting article may be the explanation of the flag of Suriname.
- The Thinking Blog made me smile when I read about Stupid client quotes. I bet most people in web design related jobs have had some similar experience (”Please right-click on your desktop” -> 10 seconds later: “Man, I’m typing ‘click’, but I don’t see it anywhere”)
- If you haven’t heard it yet: TechCrunch wrote about Google buying Feedburner for $100 million.
