Useful Blog Posts: Weeks 2 and 3

- dmartin.org: Dan Martin talks about things you can do in Linux that you can’t do on Windows. This is the article that got my attention to IEs4Linux, for installing Internet Explorer on Linux.
- Jakob Nielsen’s Alertbox: Top Ten Mistakes in Web Design has a lot of good information for web designers about usability. There are a lot of links in the article to other useful articles. This article reminded me to display visited links in a different color.
- Webdeveloper Now: We blog with useful information on web design by several bloggers. Some great articles are written, as Useful Tips for Practical Web Design and Top 12 benefits of Using CSS for Web Pages.
- Maki’s Dosh Dosh: 50 Web Usability Tips that Help You Attract and Retain Visitors to Your Website
- Rehuel punt kom: Styling a table with CSS
- Blogging Notes: I decided to keep this blog web development oriented and continue writing about blogging in Blogging notes. One of the latest articles Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket talks about not focusing on one avenue of blogging and monetizing.
- Daily Blog tips: Daniel Scocco mentions 43 Web Design Mistakes You Should Avoid
Maki’s article with the 50 usability tips reminded me of Jakob Nielsen’s articles about usability, which have basically been my guideline since I started designing and developing 7 years ago. Expect more on usability in the future, here and on Blogging Notes
