Moneybookers works, but it took me a very long time to get verified.

I am in Mexico. I received a payment from Germany, lucky the germans, because of all countries, in Germany it is easiest to make a bank deposit to Moneybookers.

I have no credit card, to verify my bank account I had the choice to make a small deposit to my account and then confirm a code which would appear on my statement. After waiting for my printed statement, the code was not on it.

I scanned the statement with the deposit and sent it to them. My account seemed to be verified. But when I tried to transfer the rest of the money, I couldn't. Now it was my address which was not confirmed! The only solution was to wait for a letter to arrive on the regular mail.

Two months later, the letter actually arrived and I finally transferred the money to my bank.

While this was happening I asked for support by email and their answer was that they do not provide email support, they have (expensive) phone lines for that pourpose. At www.saynoto0870.com you can query their regular geographical phone number, much cheaper to call.

Just like Paypal, people who want to send you money should have an account there too and send the money "to your email address".

So you need to just put a link to the "Send money" page on Moneybookers. You may also want to make it clear that, due to the fact that Paypal is not supported in your country, Moneybookers is the only option you have for receiving money online.

Remember, it will take some time before people get used to this idea, especially those who are used to Paypal.

I have just signed up as your referral, but I have no idea how to use it yet. I need it to receive money: I'm thinking to put a link to it on my site, so people who want to make donations or to buy advertising to pay me through it.

I've used Moneybookers for over 4 years now and I am quite satisfied with their services. Since Paypal is not available in a lot of countries in Europe, basically Moneybookers is the only solution available pr person to person payments.
It is also very much used for sending money to gambling websites.
The bad part is that they are rather slow in answering your emails :-(, but fats if you call them.
